Filtered Water

No filter is small enough to remove all bacteria or any viruses. They are large enough to catch some sediment, chlorine, some detergents and pesticides only to have the bacteria and viruses then attach themselves and breed. This wonderful environment for bacteria and viruses will contaminate the water as it passes through.

The filtered water could be coming from their local dam, reservoir, well or tank and then passed through a variety of filtration systems.

The main types of filtration are carbon, sediment and reverse-osmosis. Only reverse-osmosis should be considered effective and used.

Carbon filters take out chlorine and sediment which makes the water taste better but does not stop other inorganic minerals. Reverse-osmosis water is effective at removing almost all contaminants except for some bacteria and all viruses.

All filtration systems are not effective enough for continual use. The changing of filters is not regularly done. A recent survey by Pure Water Australia showed that 70% of people don't even change their filters.

This is alarming with the knowledge of filters quality dropping drastically after use. The time for changing filters is almost impossible to know due to no indications of the filter's effectiveness. This is just a gamble when it comes to purifying your water unless you spend an expensive amount on a filtration system and replacement filters.

Inorganic Minerals is a new term to many people. Most people think that our water is the supplier of important minerals. BIG MISTAKE!

All water that has run over, through or is stored in land will pick up inorganic minerals. Mineral spring water is a classic example of this. Inorganic minerals are poisonous to the human body.

Organic minerals come from plants that are supplied inorganic minerals from the water in the soil. Water in or on the land is nature's way of providing the essential minerals to plants not humans. Humans then obtain water and organic minerals by eating the fruit. The plant grows best when it is grown in soil rich in minerals - inorganic minerals.

An important supply of organic minerals, will ensure the proper function of all vitamin and enzyme processes because nothing will occur without these in the body. Our source of organic minerals is from the plants and proper eating habits will ensure the correct amount and type of minerals are going in to your body each day. Our body is best off not receiving any inorganic minerals at all because of the long term build up in our veins, arteries, joints and stomach lining.

Let hard water be for your plants and they will love you for it and you will love them for the way they grow. Carbon filters do not remove much minerals out of the water and is a poor substitute for the ultimate water treatment - distillation.

Water is considered hard when it contains more inorganic minerals than other waters considered soft because of low inorganic mineral content. These hard waters are the most deadliest over long periods of time.

Inorganic minerals combine with cholesterol in the body to clog up our arteries just like our pipes in our house clog up with mineral deposits. The result is poor circulation and low absorption of vital and essential nutrients.

All nutrients that the human body requires to function properly must be wetted by water first to be absorbed. If the water quality is hard then their is little absorption of the nutrients in the body directly into the body cells to perform the necessary functions.

Bacterial and viral contamination in filtered water cannot be guaranteed even with the use of silver in the filters. The silver in theory works well against a large amount of bacteria and viruses but due to the speed of water passing through the filter, very little silver is able to neutralise any contaminants after continual use. This drop in ability to continually and consistently eliminate all bacteria and viruses is what leaves filters out of the question as a reliable source of water treatment.

To filter water such as distilled water freshly distilled is ensuring there is no bacteria and viruses and no build up of sediment, rust particles, dirt and inorganic minerals. This allows the filter to do what it is best at and absorb chemical and organic contaminants of the water passing through.

People should always consider the long term effects of using filters to treat their water as the continual maintenance and replacement of filters is quite expensive and could very quickly pay for a home water distiller, the ultimate in water treatment.

Many outbreaks in local water sources throughout Australia have given much scare to people and the safety of drinking tap water. Many buy and use filters thinking they are enough for their water purifying needs. Do not be mistaken when you think that filters purify your water. They do a good job while the filter lasts. The bacteria and virus situation is what leaves a bad taste in the stomach from bugs and anything else that lives in water.

Bacteria are one-celled organisms, that exist in different forms and variations in the earth, in the water and in the air. Their average size varies from 0.2 and 1.5 microns - maximum 10 microns, and can not be distinguished by the human eye. Therefore one cubic centimeter of contaminated water can contain millions of microorganisms. Not every bacteria is an agent of disease. The most common waterborne bacteria which cause infections include: typhoid, paratyphoid, dysentery, colibacillosis and cholera.

Viruses are the smallest agents of disease. Their size vary from 0.1 to 0.004 microns. Except for the large pocketvirus, these microorganisms can pass through the smallest filter, which can retain bacteria and protozoa. The most common virus are hepatitis, yellow fever, and poliomyelitis. Virus tend to adhere to particles in the water which can be filtered out and then the virus continues to live on these particles and contaminate other water passing through.

Protozoa, larger than bacteria, are one-celled animals varying in size from 10 to 100 microns. They can survive in insects or in the form of cysts when outside of the human or animal organism. Some protozoa such as amoeba, giardia and cryptosporidium are present everywhere. Others, such as malaria or of the sleeping sickness disease can only be found in the tropics and subtropics.

Most old people are dehydrated and literally dry up due to insufficient water. Their hands and skin dries up looking parched, withered, dry and old. Skin is a very good indication of body hydration.

When your lips are cracked and dry your body might just be dehydrated from lack of drinking water or from drinking water which the body cannot absorb and utilise.

A constant supply of pure, clean water is what creates a healthy environment for the body to be able to live longer. Nearly all bodily processes require water to occur. Water is the environment which life exists within a human body.
